Here is the response that I received from Kindred Healthcare in reference to an complaint email I sent about the Memorial Day Flag fiasco. Thank you Kindred Healthcare for a quick and appropriate response.

Kindred Healthcare is proud of its history of supporting our employees and their families who have served our country through military service. We are sincerely sorry that one incident between two employees gave the perception that we do not respect the flag or the sacrifice it represents.

It is neither the policy of Kindred Healthcare nor Kindred Hospital Mansfield to restrict the rights of our employees and their expressions of patriotism. This is not in keeping with the spirit and culture of Kindred Healthcare. We routinely celebrate the blessings bestowed upon us by honoring our veterans and active military through a variety of benefits and service programs. The truth is the Mansfield hospital situation has not been described accurately or in its entirety. In fact, both employees involved in the situation have family members who have served in the military.

This issue was simply a dispute between two employees who shared a small workspace, one of whom removed the flag because of its size. It’s important to note that hospital management was not involved in the decision to remove the flag and has since worked with both employees to resolve the situation. We support our employees’ first amendment rights and have invited the employee to rehang her flag, which she has now done.

We are sorry that this incident occurred. We organize many activities and programs throughout the year to honor our veterans. This year, in addition to our annual Independence Day celebrations, we will proudly distribute American flags that our employees can display in their workspaces. Our 55,000 hard-working employees serve our patients and residents daily with innumerable acts of kindness and compassion. We value and respect each of our employees and their commitment to high quality care and we look forward to continuing to serve our communities and our country.

Thank you for your email and sharing with me your thoughts.

Best regards,
Susan Moss

If you are not a fan of Mafia Wars then you probably won’t know what I am talking about, but Zynga, the maker of several fine games which are available on MySpace and Facebook has just release Mafia Wars for the iPhone. This is one of the most addictive social networking games that I have played to date. The interface design for the iPhone is virtually flawless as is the game play. Version 1.0 was released just this week and although it is missing some features like a Bank the overall impression is awesome.

As the game loads for the first time you start out by deciding if you want to be a Mogul, a Criminal, or a Brawler. Doing jobs increases your finances and allows you to buy weapons, properties, and experience. You can also fight other playersto gain money and experiance to advance to other levels. I picked a Mogul and I’m currently at level 14.

If you want to join my gang, drop your player ID in the comments. The more people we have, the bigger jobs and better fights we can get into. My player ID is 2901 1005 90, feel free to add me to your Mob.

Boy where does the time go. 6 month gone by like that… Well I finished up a contract in August ’08 spent the fall and winter relaxing and just now signed a new contract. Finally back to work. This seems to be a pretty good gig. I get to work from home and work for people I like. This was certanily a blessing. The market here in Richmond was really going south just like the rest of the country. We have had several companies go out of business in the last 4 months. I was looking anywhere for work and still coming up dry. Then this new position came along. Well I promise that I will try to keep this updated more in the future.

I also decided to take the time to update the look of the site. I decided to go with the Audi theme for several reasons. Audi, in my opinion are the best driving and handling automobiles on the road today. I have test driven all of top manufactured vehicles under 100K before I made my purchase and none compared to it. I recently looked over the R8 which is shown above and it is unbelieveably awesome. It has a rear motor that sits in a display case under the rear hatch. When the vehicle is not in motion there are blue LEDs that light up the compartment. Totally cool. Audi has added the A5 to their lineup this year and it is top notch too. That may be my next Audi model I purchase. I definately can’t afford the 130K to 150k for the R8

This was something I had on the back of the bottle but found it difficult to find in electronic form. Once I did I decided to post it here in the hopes that it may help others looking for the same information.

The recommended daily servings for Monavie is 1-2 ounces per day. This is equal to the 5 daily recommended servings of fruit. Wow a shot of juice is equal to 5 apples, bananas, oranges ect. Cool. Much easier to get my daily allotment with this juice.

Try out your own bottle today and see how you like it. RichmondMonavie, not you only source in Richmond Va for Monavie but certainly the best.
